How to Perform

Follow these step-by-step instructions to perform Cable Woodchop with proper form and technique.

    Stand with your feet wide apart, knees slightly bent, facing perpendicular to a cable machine with the handle set at shoulder height.

    Grasp the handle with both hands, arms extended towards the cable machine, and rotate your torso slightly towards the cable.

    Engage your core and rotate your torso away from the cable machine, pulling the handle across your body and slightly downward.

    Extend your arms fully as you complete the rotation, ending with the handle across your body and your torso facing away from the cable machine.
